Update: Neighborhood North: Museum of Play and Pittsburgh PMI

Below please find an update on the growth and programs of Neighborhood North: Museum of Play.  They continue to deliver strong children’s development programs and now are also focusing on the building of the Museum.

Neighborhood North also recently received a $250,000 award from PA to move their programs forward! This is important on that is is additional recognition: Neighborhood North has already received and continues to receive support by the lmajor Pittsburgh based foundations for their programs’ value to the community.

I firmly believe that Pittsburgh PMI provided key support to Neighborhood North at a critical time. The strategic aspects of Board involvement through a program led by PMI Pittsburgh’s Susan Keeney and more tactical PPPM support the chapter provided all helped, as well as the PMI IP provided at no cost by PMIEF. And, the project funding by Pittsburgh PMI was also important.

As we have all experienced in our own work history the benefits of proven project management principles are not always recognized immediately by clients but in time they filter into better practices.

As a member of the community served by Neighborhood North, thank you. They, and PMI, are making a positive difference.
