Different situations demand the use of different tactics or approaches.  Are you the boss, a peer or a subordinate?  Do you have the necessary influence and know how to use it?  Are you in a group or one-on-one meeting?  Are you face-face, on a call or using a video presentation tool?  In order to be successful in any situation you need a bag full of tools and techniques to minimize “noise”, focus on the situation and provide the necessary leadership.

The major points to be covered include:

  • How to use Influence and survive Politics
  • Knowing when to build rapport, gather information or lead a discussion – and how to do each
  • Knowing when to let the other party “fail”
  • Situational examples hints and tips

Whether you are a leader now or a leader-in-waiting, this presentation will provide practical content and follow-up with exercises and case studies to emphasize key points to help you achieve the best win-win outcome for you, your team and your project.

Speaker Bio:

Joe Perzel has been leading projects of all sizes and managing staffs since 1982 in both a corporate and vendor capacity. He has a background in multiple industries such as healthcare, insurance, finance, government, manufacturing, non-profit and education. Presently Joe is Partner JPerzel Inc. as well as Program Manager at Surescripts LLC. He has previously held leadership positions at Cargill, Thomson Reuters, MN Workers Compensation Bureau and International Multifoods.

Joe has been speaking since 2002 on topics ranging from project management, leadership, strategy, negotiations/sales. He has presented keynotes, chapter meetings and workshops to over 20 PMI chapters, PMI R2 and Global, as well as multiple corporate, Society for Quality (ASQ), International Institute of Business Analysts (IIBA), Government and University events.

Hybrid Meeting Info:

This hybrid meeting will be held virtually + in-person for a limited number of attendees.  The in-person meeting will be held at Left Field Meeting Space, 116 Federal Place, 4th floor, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.

Registration fees are waived for virtual attendees, registration fees for in-person attendees are $5 (members) or $10 (non-members).  Light refreshments will be served at Left Field.  All in-person attendees will be required to sign a COVID waiver.  Learn more about Left Field at:  www.leftfieldmeetings.com
