Special Olympics North America Softball Championships Volunteer Opportunities
The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. This organization offers continuing opportunities for athletes to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and share their gifts, skills, and friendships with their families, fellow athletes, and the community.
We are excited to invite you to volunteer and be part of this inspiring event!
•Date: September 7, 2024
•Location: No Offseason Sports, Russellton, PA
•Participants: Athletes and Unified partners from the U.S. and Canada will compete in traditional and Unified team formats.
Volunteer Roles and Shifts:
1.Fans in the Stand
•Shifts: 7:30 AM - 1:30 PM OR 1:30 PM - 8:30 PM
•Role: Cheer on athletes, creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
2.Hydration Team
•Shifts: 7:30 AM - 1:30 PM OR 1:30 PM - 8:30 PM
•Role: Ensure athletes stay hydrated and promote overall wellness.
3.Field Observer
•Shifts: 7:30 AM - 1:30 PM OR 1:30 PM - 8:30 PM
•Role: Monitor field activities, ensure fair play, and report any issues.

•Scorekeeper Gamechanger
•Field PA Announcer
•Healthy Athlete Registration
•Shifts: 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM OR 12:30 PM - 5:00 PM
•General Volunteers
•Role: Assist in various roles as needed.
