Presentation: Managing Uncertainty
Description: Uncertainty surrounds us and knowing how to manage it is crucial to creating successful business outcomes. Traditional approaches differ drastically from Agile approaches when it comes to navigating uncertainty. In addition, managers play a key role but often do not fully understand what it is. Ben Kopel will take you on an exploration of these topics and you will come away able to explain “Why Agile” as well as how managers support Agile teams and organizations.
Bio: Ben is a curious learner focused on building strong teams and organizations. Introduced to agility by an Agile Manifesto author, Ben has been working with Agile teams for over ten years as a developer, Product Owner, Scrum Master, Agile Coach, trainer and manager. Ben is a Certified Enterprise Coach (#100 in the world), Certified Team Coach and Certified Scrum Foundations trainer. He has coached hundreds of individuals, over fifty teams and led several large-scale Agile adoptions. Ben taught classes at Northwestern University and continues to offer private and public workshops. He lives in Pittsburgh with his wife and two children.
