Project Case Study: Perspectives from Art All Night’s Poobah (WiPM)

Ways of Working

Join us for a behind-the-scenes look at one of Pittsburgh’s most beloved grassroots events – Art All Night – through the eyes of it’s current Project Manager, also know as the Poobah.

This session dives into the complexities, triumphs, and lessons learned from organizing an annual 22-hour community art show which draws thousands of artists and visitors every year. Through this case study, Lisa Fuciarelli (Poobah – Season 28 and 29) will explore project management strategies for a large-scale, volunteer-led event with no commercialism, corporate sponsorship, or internal hierarchy.

We will explore crisis management, creative problem-solving, and the power of improvisation in a company of equals, and how to lead with passion and purpose while keeping chaos in check. This talk will offer insights into how art, community spirit, logistics and not a little weird have come together for more than a quarter century to create something unique.

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from a community catalyst!
