Mentor Program: Allyship, Safety, and Expanding the Board
Whether you've participated in Mentoring events in the past or not, you are welcome to join this session!
Curiosity into care — who has helped me feel safe, seen, and supported?
June focuses on psychological safety, allyship, and the idea that mentorship is not one-size-fits-all. This is
also a natural point to expand from one mentor into a more intentional Personal Board of Advisors.
In this interactive session, we will discuss allyship as an active mentoring behavior: listening, advocating, connecting, and challenging
respectfully.
● Introduce different PBA seats and why members may need different guides for different goals.
● Invite participants to identify gaps in their board: technical guide, project leadership guide, sponsor, connector, peer buddy, or personal accountability partner.
● Discuss “motherly mentors,” “father figures,” and informal guides who shape us beyond job titles.
● Create peer-learning circles around common goals: PMP, leadership, career transition, speaking, volunteering, board service, or industry change.
Pre-work:
- Be prepared with a list the people who have helped you grow at different points in your life.
Registration closes on June 23!
