AI Prompting for Project Managers

AI Prompting for Project Managers

Join fellow Pittsburgh PMI project professionals for an interactive, platform-agnostic discussion on how to write better prompts for AI in day-to-day project work. In this facilitated session, we will share real examples, explore best practices, and co-create prompt patterns that help with tasks like planning, risk analysis, stakeholder communication, and reporting.

This month's focus: prompt refinement & iteration techniques

This is an open, conversational forum—no specific tools or prior AI experience required. Come ready to exchange ideas, questions, and lessons learned about using AI more effectively as a project manager.

You may find it helpful to explore PMI’s AI resources before or after this session, including the PMIxAI “AI in Project Management” hub (pmi.org/learning/ai-in-project-management), the free “Generative AI Overview for Project Managers” course, the “Talking to AI: Prompt Engineering for Project Managers” eLearning, and PMI’s thought leadership reports such as “Talking to the Machine: Prompt Engineering Essentials for Project Professionals.”

Registration closes at 5pm on June 14.
