Sustainability is becoming an increasingly important consideration in project delivery, but how do we move beyond organizational goals and translate sustainability into the decisions we make as project professionals?
At the October PMI Pittsburgh Breakfast Club, Celeste Isacco, PMP, GPM-b, will facilitate a discussion exploring sustainable project management through the lens of the PMI® GPM® P5™ Standard for Sustainability in Project Management.
We will look at how sustainability can be considered across the project lifecycle and discuss questions such as:
• How does sustainability apply to different industries and project environments?
• How can project professionals incorporate sustainability into planning and decision-making?
• What does creating value for people, planet, and prosperity look like in practice?
• What challenges prevent organizations from translating sustainability strategy into project-level action?
The meeting will begin with a brief introduction to the current PMI/GPM sustainability framework and research, then facilitate an interactive discussion in which participants can share perspectives, experiences, and practical approaches from their own organizations and industries.
No matter where your organization is on its sustainability journey, your perspective can contribute to the conversation.
Join us for a thoughtful conversation about how project professionals can move sustainability from strategy into action.
Registration closes on October 7 at 5pm.
