Join us for the March Pittsburgh PMI chapter meeting to learn more about how to improve stakeholder relationships.  In this presentation, you will learn to:

  • interact with individuals in ways that work best for them
  • read another person and determine how they want to be treated

Speaker Bio:

James Coughenour, with Steps To Achieve, provides coaching, consulting and professional development training to government agencies, businesses, school districts, universities, and individuals.  James has been teaching Project Management, including PMP & PMI-ACP exam prep, analytics, emerging technologies, and various leadership topics.

James is very passionate about providing one-on-one and team coaching to help his clients develop more clarity of purpose in their thinking, actions, and language.  He enhances their understanding of their own management and leadership styles (including their conflict style, motivational values system, and learning style). This understanding enhances his clients’ capacity to engage in more effective communication, achieve more satisfying results and close more sales. Additionally, he works with teams to improve performance, reduce conflict, improve communication by noticing their different styles, assumptions, and uncovering unspoken expectations. His clients gain a better understanding of their group dynamics and the systems in which they live and work.

James is a Certified Coach, Speaker and Trainer with the John Maxwell Team, a Certified DISC Practitioner/Trainer, Certified EIQ Trainer, Project Management Professional, PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner, Diversity and Inclusion Trainer, and has several other certifications.  James has completed his MBA from California University of Pennsylvania, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh.
