Tenacity, Competition, Priorities and Progress
The PMI Pittsburgh chapter hosts a bi-monthly Women in Project Management discussion group focusing on topics relevant to women in the workplace. All are welcome to join!
The topic for May is: Tenacity, Competition, Priorities and Progress
Professional Arab women juggle more responsibilities than their male counterparts, and they face more cultural rigidity than Western women. What can their success teach us about tenacity, competition, priorities and progress? Tracing her career as an engineer, advocate and mother in Abu Dhabi, Leila Hoteit shares three lessons for thriving in the modern world.
We'll watch a short video and then have a group disucssion. No prep work, no homework – just the sharing of experiences and ideas!
The aims of this group are to:
- Create a forum where topics can be discussed openly, respectfully, and constructively
- Encourage more member interactions and offer an additional support network
- Promote sharing of experiences and tactics for positive outcomes
